Not that it relates to the discussion here, but just so you know, Pilsen is not a town. Pilsen is a neighborhood in Chicago. Chicago has a population of about 3 million people, and it is a far-sprawling city, and many Chicago neighborhoods have names. As it has grown over the past 175 years, Chicago has enveloped surrounding towns. So some of those neighborhoods with names take their names from the towns that they used to be, and some of them adopted their names from somewhere/something else. It's just a way for each neighborhood to be easily identified in general conversation, and a way for each neighborhood to have a sense of its own unique identity.
